The Columbia Local School District consists of three school buildings: Copopa (K-4), CMS (5-8) and CHS (9-12).
We have an enrollment of approximately 900 students.
Columbia Local School District is a rural community spanning 25 square miles.
Columbia Local School District is affliated with Lorain County Joint Vocational School where 48 of our students attend.
Our athletic teams compete in the Patriot Athletic Conference.
Our students take great pride in academic and extra curricular activities.
Columbia Local School District promotes high achievement through Advanced Placement classes, College Credit Plus classes, a Gifted Program, Honors Classes, Technology and the Arts.
We appreciate the strong support of the PTA, Booster Organizations, surrounding business community and our local township government which enhances the lives of our students.
89 CHS students have earned 1290 college credits through the College Credit Plus Program at LCCC saving families $204, 259. This equates to more than $500,000 at an Ohio 4-year public university.
CLSD has 106 open enrollment students in grades K-12.
Class of 2017
29 of 73 members received academic scholoarships to a college or university.
This class received $644,000 in scholarships.
9 students graduated with honors.
18 students completed requirements from the Lorain County JVS.
83% are attending a college, university or vocation school.
25% will be the first in their family to attend college.
26 seniors graduated with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
