Vacancy Notice - Food Service Director

QUALIFICATIONS:    The Columbia Local School District has an open position for a Food Service Supervisor. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in dietetics/nutrition.  Prior experience in leading a nutrition service department is greatly preferred.  The successful candidate will have a command of sanitary and regulatory laws, policies and procedures, and a passion for serving students, their parents and the community.  Candidate must also be skilled in the use of technology, possess the ability to communicate ideas, concepts and instructions both verbally and in writing.

WORK CALENDAR:  190 days.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Integrated Language Arts 7-12 licensure required.

CONTRACT DATE:  2019/20 School Year

SALARY:  per negotiated agreement

BROAD FUNCTION: The Teacher manages his/her team in such a way that his/her goals and objectives support and amplify goals of the school district. The Teacher assists in the functions of (1) planning and developing, (2) implementing, and (3) evaluating and revising the educational program. In addition, the teacher (4) is actively involved in parent, colleague, and student relations and (5) participates in personal development activities.

Vacancy Notice - Mechanic

APPOINTMENT DATE:  Immediate Opening.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Mechanic must hold ASE certification and have the knowledge to diagnose problems and repair school buses. Mechanic must hold a School Bus Driver license validation or have the ability to acquire same within one calendar year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Within the approved limits of Board policy as delineated by the Transportation Supervisor, the Mechanic is responsible for duties as outlined by the job description as well as duties as designated by the Transportation Supervisor.

HOURS:  8 hours per day

SALARY:  Per negotiated agreement commensurate with experience.
