Columbia Local Schools would
like to welcome you to the Little Raiders Preschool program!
This program individualizes
learning and is appropriate for children of varying backgrounds, which is
tailored to the current developmental level of each child. A peer model is a child without a disability
who displays typical development and behavior in the classroom setting. All students in the program participate in a
variety of developmentally appropriate preschool activities. The curriculum will be aligned with the Early
Learning Content Standards.
We are excited to announce
that Eva Albanese will be the preschool teacher and Robin Randall the
educational aide. Judy Skoczen will

Typically developing peer
models ages 4 and 5 (by August 1st) will be accepted in this
program. Each morning and afternoon
session will consist of a total of 12-16 students. Placement will be based on the screening
process. Resident students will be
selected first followed by open enrollment students, if space is
available. Students must be able to use
Preschool will begin on
September 10, 2019, and follow the Columbia Local School District calendar for
conference days, professional development days, vacations, etc. It will operate on Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday from 8:30 am to 11:15 am and 12:15 pm to 3:00 pm. There will be a morning and afternoon
session. However, students can only
attend one. There is no district transportation for typical peer models.
Tuition is $1,260.00 for the school year. This payment includes an annual $60.00 snack fee. If interested, Parents/Guardians will need to attend a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, April 9th at 6:00 pm in the media center at Copopa Elementary. Peer model students wishing to attend our preschool will be selected by lottery on this night. If chosen in the lottery, a non-refundable down payment of $300.00 is required to reserve your spot. Second payment of $300.00 is due by May 15th
and final payment of $660.00 is due by September 1st. Please make checks payable to Columbia Local
Once accepted and a $300.00 down payment is made, you will need to enroll your child in Columbia Schools using OneView on the district website. You will need to bring your child’s immunization records, birth certificate and two proofs of residency to the Administration Center once enrolled.
