Esports is actually designated a sport and has its page under the sports section. However, I know when people think of Esports they usually think club so I wouldn't be against having it under that section as well for a parent or student who would be searching for information.

- Objective: Provide a positive team atmosphere and comradery associated with other organized sports. Add another venue for students to excel outside the traditional classroom setting and potentially earn scholarships to higher academic institutions.
- Description
- Students meet after school for practices and matches during the season. Different game titles are held on different days of the week. All matches are played online from the High School with travel only necessary if a team makes the postseason. The 2023-24' season saw CHS field; Fortnite, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart teams.
- Season is complete for the current school year.
- Membership Requirements: 1) League permission slip signed by parent/guardian 2) Participation Fee ($50) 3) Parent/guardian fills out Oneview medical forms, physical required

- Esports are a growing sport at each level of education. Currently, every university in Ohio except for one has an Esports team. Many colleges offer scholarships just as any traditional sport. The team building and relationships gained while competing in team sports is invaluable to student well being. Students develop tech skills and social skills and networking opportunities.
- Past Achievements or Highlights
- The 2023-24' season was the teams inaugural season. Twelve players participated and a lot of learning and memorable moments were had. The end-of-season banquet will be March 14th in the High School cafeteria at 6:30pm.
