Welcome to Topics in History and Pop Culture! This class is an elective designed for students with an interest in history and past success in their social studies courses. The topic of the course will change each semester, but may include: Sports in the 20th Century, Music, Entertainment, Technology, Major Personalities of the 20th Century, Women and Minorities in History, American Culture, and others as prescribed by the department. The course will examine the impact on both U.S. and world history. The concepts of historical thinking introduced in earlier grades continue to build with students locating and analyzing primary and secondary sources from multiple perspectives to draw conclusions
