ASSIGNED TO: Copopa Elementary School
APPOINTMENT DATE: Beginning March 29, 2021 for the remainder of the 2020/21 school year
REPORTS TO: The educational aide/attendant is under the immediate supervision and direction of the classroom teacher directed by the building principal and/or director of special education.
QUALIFICATIONS: Interest in working with preschool special needs students. Experience in dealing with preschool special needs students in a school setting is preferred. High School diploma required. Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with the classroom teacher.
Must have the ability to obtain an Educational Aide Permit with a Para-Professional (ESEA qualified) designation.
The term "ESEA Qualified" shall be added to the educational aide permit for individuals who have successfully completed either the examination for paraprofessionals prescribed by the State Board of Education; or an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution of higher education; or at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours).
HOURS: as assigned.
SALARY: per negotiated agreement.
