Career Readiness Coordinator

CONTRACT DATE: 2025/26 school year

SALARY: as negotiated

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Career Counseling, Education, Workforce Development, Business, or a related field.
  • Administrator license preferred but not required.
  • Experience in career counseling, workforce development, education, or business.
  • Strong ability to build partnerships with businesses, community organizations, and higher education institutions.
  • Experience in the private sector is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of career college admissions, scholarships, apprenticeships, and job placement resources.
  • Passion for helping students find their purpose and preparing them for success beyond high school.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability regarding scheduling, including in days worked, hours per day, start and end times, and the ability to adjust based on organizational needs.

BROAD FUNCTION:
  • Student & Alumni Career Development
  • Provide career coaching, counseling, and guidance to explore personalized pathways in college, technical training, or direct workforce entry.
  • Develop and oversee scholarship application and writing support for students seeking post-secondary education.
  • Program Development & Workforce Readiness
  • Build and expand career-focused programs, including LCJVS Pathways, Pre-Apprenticeship Programs in skilled trades and in-demand industries, and College and Non-College Bound Student Support to ensure all graduates have a clear path.
  • Strengthen work-based learning by partnering with local businesses, industries, and apprenticeship programs to facilitate job placements.
  • Community & Industry Partnerships
  • Collaborate with LCCC, LCJVS Manufacturing Works, Greater Cleveland Partnership, and other entities to create post-graduation employment and training pipelines.
  • Partner with local employers to ensure Columbia High School graduates have direct access to job placement support.
  • Host career fairs, professional development workshops, and networking events that connect students and community members with industry leaders.
  • Professional Development & Staff Collaboration
  • Provide training & resources for staff to better support students’ career aspirations.
  • Lead professional development sessions on workforce trends, post-secondary options, and career readiness strategies.
  • Work closely with staff to integrate career exploration into the curriculum.

Vacancy Notice - Day Custodian, K-8 Building

CONTRACT:  Full-time, 260 day contract

APPOINTMENT:  Summer, 2025 
 
HOURS:  8 hours per day, 6:30 am-2:30 pm
 
SALARY:  Per negotiated agreement
 
BROAD FUNCTION:     The custodian manages his/her position in such a way that his/her goals and objectives support and amplify the goals of the school district.   The job goal is to assist the employees with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean place in which to work.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:        
  • High school graduate.
  • General knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning and basic maintenance.
  • Able to operate all machinery and tools needed to complete cleaning and maintenance of building.
  • Willing to learn and use new techniques and skills in the performance of the job.
