On December 14, Megan Champagne was sworn in as the newest member of the Columbia Board of Education.

Megan and her husband Shaun have three children who attend Columbia Local Schools. Megan graduated from Columbia High School in 1995. She earned her BA in English from Ohio University, her teaching credentials from John Carroll University, and will complete her MA in Education with a focus in Educational Leadership in 2018. Megan is currently an English Instructor at Lorain County Joint Vocational School in Oberlin, Ohio. She is a Girl Scout leader and is an active member of Columbia Athletic Boosters.
