Yesterday we had an amazing assembly to kick off our Invention Convention Program for grades K-8! Every student took home a yellow flyer with information as to how to register for the program. Please see the link provided below to register your child for invention convention.

We encourage all students to particpiate in this event. After students register, Mrs. Bowman will be sending home the Invention Convention Student Journal with your child. The invention and journal are to be completed at home. A timeline and additional information will come home while your student is inventing. In the spring we will host our own Invention Convention here at Columbia Local Schools. Top Inventors from that event will go on to the Northeast Regional Finals on May 2nd at Cleveland State University. Three things need to be present at CSU should your child be selected as a top inventor: your student, their invention, and their journal. The journal is very important in the inventing process and should be completed as indicated in the journal. If you have any additional questions please contact Mrs. Bowman.
Veteran's Day is just around the corner and Copopa Student Council needs your help to honor our heros. This year, it is our intention to create a giant "Wall of Honor". Please click on the link below to get more information about how you can help us creat the "Wall of Honor".
This year's Ohio PTA Reflections Contest is going to be great! The theme this year is "The World Would Be a Better Place if..." Students grades K-12 can write a poem, story, compose a song, choreograph a dance, produce a film, take a picture or create a piece of cisual art on the theme.

Quick Start - information on specifics for contest
The Raider Flip Flop Sale has been extended to October 24, 2014.
The class of 2016 is taking orders for the flip flops and slides. Last week an order form when home with every Copopa student about Raider Flip Flops and Raider Slides. They are available in a variety of sizes from kids to adults. Orders must be received by October 24, 2014 and will be delivered in time for Christmas.The cost is $20 per pair and payment can me made in the form of cash or check made out to CHS. Picture Retake Day is coming up! Retakes will take place on October 1st. If you would like to have your child's pictures retaken on this day please inform the office so they can send home the retake form for you. If your child was not at school for the original picture day a form will be sent without a request for you.
